Figure-use rule
Each figure is an orientation and reasoning aid, not a project drawing. Learners must pair it with the current sequence, point list, wiring/piping documents, manufacturer instructions, and as-found evidence.
Normal-rule anchor
Schedule pressure, seniority, or past practice never overrides a required control or qualification boundary.
Case overlay
A lead asks a new installer to continue above a ceiling after discovering unidentified energized conductors.
Calculation/evidence callout: Calculate checklist/authorization coverage, unresolved critical items, communication timing, and readiness; critical gaps are conjunctive holds.
Normal-rule anchor
PPE is important but usually the last control layer; changed conditions require reassessment.
Case overlay
A planned low-voltage pull now crosses active demolition and overhead work.
Calculation/evidence callout: Use supplied risk matrix, rank controls, calculate residual risk and exposure duration, and identify stop thresholds.
